Kaianite is said to come from the Greek word Kyanos, meaning dark blue.
The Japanese name is Ai Aoiishi. Deep, highly saturated blue kyanite has the property of cleaving in two directions, making it a natural stone that is difficult to cut beautifully.
We have selected beautifully cut loose stones from the designer's collection. We hope you will enjoy the blue gradation created by the crystals.
