It is said that the first discovered in Auerbach, Germany, resembles the color of currants, and therefore was named after the scientific name of currants, "grossularia."
Pure glossler is colorless and transparent, but due to impurities such as iron and manganese, it becomes green, gold, and orange. This stone was purchased in Tanzania.
